How It Works

The Fuller Center for Housing of Salt Lake brings together homeowners, volunteers, and donors to repair homes and strengthen our community. Our work is built on partnership, dignity, and service.

Step 1:
Identify a Need

A Need Is Identified

Homeowners apply for assistance when critical repairs make it difficult to safely remain in their homes. Our team reviews applications and identifies projects where we can help.

Step 2:
Evaluate the Project

We Plan the Project

Once a project is approved, we assess the home and determine the materials, volunteers, and timeline needed to complete the repairs.

Step 3:
Mobilize Volunteers

Volunteers Serve

Community volunteers come together to complete the repairs. Skilled and unskilled volunteers work side by side to restore homes and serve families in need.

Step 4:
Complete the Repairs

Homes Are Restored

Through volunteer labor and donated resources, repairs are completed that improve safety, accessibility, and stability for the homeowner.

Step 5:
Pay It Forward

Helping Others

When possible, homeowners repay the cost of materials through small, no-interest payments. These funds help support future projects, allowing one repaired home to help the next.

Building Stronger Communities

Every project is made possible through the generosity of volunteers, donors, and families working together. Together, we are restoring homes, strengthening families, and serving our neighbors across Salt Lake.

Our Vision

“The vision of the Fuller Center for Housing is to serve families in Salt Lake City in urgent need of inside or outside home repair to ensure they remain with a safe, stable roof over their heads.”
